| Can a Rat Rod be show quality at the same time? This one is! This car is one-of-a-kind with a lot of money invested. Want to be the talk of the car show no matter who show's up? This car starts with the center piece which is a 1951 Ford 8BA flathead painted bronze with and Offenhauser intake with 3 rebuilt Stromberg carbs, original Offenhauser heads, MSD distributor, MSD coil, 8mm plug wires, Walker radiator, truck water pumps, 12 volt one wire conversion and Zoomies with removable silencers and rain caps. A Ford C4 automatic transmission and Ford 9 inch rear end get this car motivated. The body has been chopped 4 inches, channeled 6 inches, pinched 4 inches, open top with finished yellow pine, snap on top, green glass with swingout windshield, finished in bare steel and custom pin striping by Greg Dahl. Inside are S and W gauges, bomber seats with leather cushions, aircraft style lap belts, custom metal floor, and all wiring covered in an asphalt loom. Frame consists of original 1930 rails with a 2x4 rear section. Pete and Jakes four bar front with Superbell 4 drop I beam axles and disc brakes. Rear is a Ford 9 inch with panhard bar, Heidts coilovers and Chassis engineering ladder bars. Brakes are stainless steel lines with a new Mustang style master cylinder. Powder coated Coker steelies with Coker wide white wall tires. Original BLC headlights rebuilt with halogen bulbs and built in turn signals. A Model T oval fuel tank painted and pinstriped supports the Flathead engine. This car is professionally built and the attention to detail shows. | |
