DESCRIPTION
For go-anywhere utility and rugged good looks, it's hard to beat the Chevy Blazer. This 1974 K5 Blazer has been extensively restored, including paint, a new interior, and an upgraded suspension that gives it capabilities to match its appearance. And yes, a white removable hard top is included, but you'll never want to use it after driving this one around in the open. The K5's proportions are almost perfect: compact enough to go almost anywhere, but with a square-jawed functionality that makes it a popular off-roading choice today. The two-tone paint job on this one was done quite recently, and the foundation underneath was a very clean, original truck. The paint job was thorough, too, covering the door jambs, inside the doors, the tailgate, and anywhere else signs of a repaint might hide. Heck they even painted the lower dash to match, and that means the truck was totally disassembled for paint-not cheap! Other noteworthy details include the bright trim, which is either excellent original or exact reproduction, and the billet grille that really cleans up the front end styling. The tan cloth bucket seat interior is all new and the craftsmanship is excellent. The original low-back buckets wear fresh covers with embroidered Chevrolet bowtie emblems and the rear bench has been upholstered to match. New tan carpets tie it all together nicely, including in the cargo area, which also helps control noise and temperatures inside the truck (when the hardtop is on, of course). Completely free of UV damage or cracks, I have to believe the dash pad is new, or else it's a testament to how beautifully preserved this truck really is. Factory air is also part of the deal, along with things like power steering and brakes, and an automatic transmission with column shift. Mechanically, the truck is ready to hit the trails thanks to a powerful 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood and a substantially upgraded suspension. The engine bay itself is clean and serviceable, and the bright Chevy Orange paint on the block is a nice touch, although you'll probably prefer to drive this one instead of showing it. Long-tube headers and a dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers definitely add some attitude, and the heavy-duty suspension features new Monroe shocks all around. The frame is straight and clean, and doesn't show evidence of heavy off-road use, suggesting that this truck has, indeed, lived a very easy life. That GM 12-bolt out back is virtually indestructible, and it rolls on a set of traditional Rally wheels wearing 35x12.50-15 BFGoodrich All-Terrain radials. These trucks will never go out of style, and this one retains all the practicality of a stocker while delivering vastly improved off-road abilities. Take advantage of this opportunity, because you just couldn't duplicate this truck for the price. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
