| DESCRIPTION |
| Extremely rare 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda convertible powered by a numbers-matching 340 CI V8 and finished in the correct original colors of Vitamin C Orange (Code EK2) over black interior. Only about 548 'Cuda convertibles were built in 1970 making these cars extremely rare and very desirable. This car is a real 'Cuda, not a Barracuda, and the 340 CI engine producing 275 horsepower was a factory option on the 'Cuda in 1970 (Code H). This particular car is listed as 1 only 19 'Cuda Convertibles built with a 340 V8 and a 3 speed manual in the 70/71 'Cuda registry. It's also listed as 1 of only 13 built with the J81 go wing spoiler option from factory. Other factory options on this car include power brakes, 26 inch radiator, performance hood with simulated scoops, hood pins, blacked out rear taillight panel, and hockey stick side stripes (all standard on the 'Cuda). When new, this car would've had a 340 hockey stripe (V6X on the fender tag) but the restorer chose to leave the stripe off for a sleeker and less cluttered look. This car received a complete rotisserie restoration in 2008 so it's as clean on the bottom as it is on top with a painted undercarriage and detailed suspension. The interior in the car is all new and in immaculate condition. It features bucket seats, factory rally dash with tachometer, and the infamous pistol grip shifter. During the restoration they decided to switch out this car's factory three speed for a date code correct four speed manual transmission and we think it was a good decision even though not making the car 100 original. The engine and rear end in this car are still the #'s matching versions despite the transmission being swapped out. 15 inch American Racing wheels were chosen in favor of the factory Rally wheels for a more aggressive look and stance. The wheels are wrapped in new BF Goodrich tires measuring 235/60R15 both front and rear. 1970's era muscle cars simply don't get much better than the Mopars like this 'Cuda convertible. Compared to a Mustang or Camaro these cars are very exclusive and are great performers that live up to their legend this very day. To drive a Cuda like this with the top down and shifting gears through the pistol grip shifter is an automotive experience everyone deserves to have at least once. Whether you're a Ford guy, a Chevy guy, or neither of the two it's hard not to recognize how special the 60's and 70's Mopars truly were as they really epitomize a muscle car better than any other car can.
