| DESCRIPTION |
| This 1964 Impala is a perfect example of buying someone else's finished car to save a fortune. Looking over the list of upgrades and the overall quality of the workmanship, it's obvious that the parts alone are worth more than the asking price of the entire car. Just a sample of the goodies includes a 454 cubic inch V8, 4-wheel disc brakes, 22-inch rims, and a massive professionally-installed entertainment system, and that's not even counting the $10-15,000 spent on chrome and paint. This is not one of those creations that some guy built in his back yard. This is a professionally built Impala that is just as stunning in person as it appears in photos. The candy apple red paint more than lives up to its name, with a ton of pearl and metallic in the finish to give it that iridescent look that highlights the Imp's design details. Bodywork is first rate, and that's critical because the straight bodylines give away flaws instantly-look at the photos again and you'll see what I mean. Everything lines up just as it should, and there are no waves anywhere on those massive quarter panels. Add in the expensive machine-turned SS trim, the lovely chrome bumpers, and a beautifully restored grille, and it's clear that nobody took any shortcuts on this one. Fully dressed in correct SS attire, the interior features black buckets, a classic engine-turned center console, and a host of upgrades that make it a pleasure to drive. Everything is new, from the seat covers to the carpets, and you'll appreciate the efforts taken to preserve the car's original design. The original gauges have been augmented by a column-mounted tachometer and a pair of gauges mounted down low near the custom stereo enclosure. There's also a Vintage Air HVAC system that looks completely appropriate in the vintage Impala. A professionally designed and installed stereo system includes a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/MP3 head unit, Pioneer speakers, and four 12-inch Power Acoustic subwoofers mounted in the trunk, all powered by two 1400-watt amps. There's a lot more, but you get the idea. The engine bay is no less spectacular, featuring a 454 cubic inch big block that eats original style 409s for breakfast. A Demon carburetor lives atop an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, and the mixture is fired by an MSD ignition. Hedman headers handle the spent fumes, channeling them through a custom dual exhaust system with Flowmasters and turn-downs just ahead of the rear wheels. The engine is also beautifully dressed, with chrome and billet aluminum throughout, including the upgraded power master cylinder for the 4-wheel disc brakes. A TH350 handles the gear swaps and feeds the stock Impala rear end, and the entire chassis is clean, albeit not quite as detailed as the more visible areas of the car. Stunning 22-inch Asanti wheels wear huge 245/30/22 performance radials. You couldn't build this car for twice the asking price. Give us a call for all the details, but this is one amazing Impala.
