| DESCRIPTION |
| Early Camaros will always be in demand. The trick is finding one that's both affordable and usable, a feat easier said than done. Fortunately, there are still cool cars like this Ermine White SS coupe out there, a brilliant combination of style and performance at a great price. White cars always look good, especially with black trim, and this SS is a handsome, straight car with some light patina that seems to add to its appeal. It doesn't appear to have ever been rusty or damaged, and I'd bet lunch that it still carries all its original sheetmetal, simply because of how well it all fits together. The paint job is older, but the workmanship was good, so it's holding up quite well and looks very presentable, even in the bright sunlight. SS trim and badges were added during the refresh some years ago, and you can't argue with the awesome black nose stripe and that hood with the simulated velocity stacks sticking out of it-you'll never see another manufacturer with that kind of styling ever again. Out back there's a proper ducktail spoiler, and the black vinyl roof is beautifully installed with no signs of rust under or around it, again suggesting that this car has never been rusty. All the chrome and stainless is either excellent original or restored, giving the car a very honest overall look. Nothing works better than a black interior in your early Camaro, and this one sports a pleasing combination of restored and stock components, with a few thoughtful upgrades as well. The front seats are new covers over the original frames, and it appears that the back seat is original, again indicative of how clean this car is. New door panels, fresh carpets, and a taut headliner also add to the fresh feeling inside, while a big Hurst shifter for the 4-speed manual underneath delivers shifts that feel like a bolt-action rifle. The original gauges are augmented by a set of Sunpro auxiliary gauges and an AM/FM radio has been fitted in the original location. Pop the trunk and you'll find a rust-free floor as well as a full-sized spare and jack assembly. The engine bay holds a nicely detailed 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 with correct Chevy Orange paint, a chrome air cleaner with proper reproduction decals, and other dress-up items. For performance, an Edelbrock intake with a Holley 4-barrel, and a set of long-tube headers were installed, and the engine runs beautifully. More bright chrome on the valve covers and alternator help it sparkle, with signs of recent maintenance like fresh plug wires and hoses. Underneath there's a solid, clean, original chassis, a Muncie 4-speed, and a 10-bolt rear, the foundation of thousands of early Camaros. A new dual exhaust system has been recently installed, and those chrome Cragar mags wear staggered 195/70/14 front and 235/60/14 rear Firestone radials. This is a sharp SS Camaro with no needs and a bargain price. What could be better? Call today. This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
