| History is still being written on trucks like this 1968 Ford F100 2-dr pick-up truck. Recently repainted in factory correct Meadowlark Yellow, this is a shining example why these trucks have recently resurged in popularity. Ford's slogan in the 1968 was Built to last longer. How true it is. Hardly a day goes by that we don't see an F100 on the streets. The Twin I Beam front independent front suspension was in its 3rd year of production, and it proved to be a winner. One ad noted, Works like a truck - rides like a car. Combined with the Flex-O-Matic rear end that automatically adjusted to the spring stiffness, this is a truck that's still a pleasure to drive. This truck was born in Ontario Canada in the early in March - 1968. Although cared for its entire life, this truck was recently given the royal treatment in the complete and beautifully finished restoration you see today. The body is extremely straight and free of any of the typical rust or rot areas that you'll find on so many of the other trucks out there on the road. Care was given to get panel fit right, and you can clearly see a lot of time was spend block sanding before they refinished it in the factory-correct Meadowlark Yellow paint. Inside, you'll find that the interior looks great as well, with an attractive gray-over-black cloth interior. The seats, door panels, dash and floors are all in great shape. Door jams, weather-stripping and moldings all received the proper attention, and what you see is a nicely finished truck that's ready to drive - at the show or on the street. You'll find that under the hood, this truck was given extra-special attention. Powered by a strong 460cid V-8 motor and a C6 transmission, this beauty is ready for anything you can throw at it. To say it runs strong is quite the understatement. It's always nice to see a vehicle that runs even better than it ever could have from the factory. Bolted to this 460 VI are 429 heads that really set things off in a good way. Headers, upgraded ignition and a fresh carb help ensure it breathes to the best of its ability. Creature comforts include the original AM radio, air conditioning, power brakes and power steering.
